Well, I like making my own tea in the morning and to be honest, I still find that Starbucks' lattes are a bit too sweet. It makes me crazy jittery, bad stomach, hands shaking and everything, after just 1 cup. As in, I slept for 3 hours the night before and there's no way on Earth I'll make it through the day with a shot of caffeine. To be real with you, I can't do coffee at all. Honestly, I can't even drink coffee in the mornings let alone in the afternoon, so I've always done tea. ![]() You know that time of day right after lunch when you're starting to feel like a serious nap is on the way but its too late to drink coffee? Exactly. My mom ordered one at Starbucks over the holidays for a midday pick me up. ![]() Well guess what? A couple months ago, I discovered the London fog tea latte. Weekdays are for straight up earl grey with a sprinkle of sugar. I usually reserve this for slow, sleepy weekend mornings, like a Sunday treat. In Autumn, this transitions to my ULTIMATE fave, the pumpkin spice chai tea latte. The folks at the Cedar Falls Dunkin’ Donuts are just wonderful, and all the teas they have are really tasty.Happy Thursday!! If you remember, my favorite morning caffeine beverage is a chai tea latte. This white chocolate London Fog was wonderful and perfect for these cold, blow zero days we have been Iowa. Place the tea in the white chocolate milk and stir well before drinking. An another cup, or saucepan, heat up water and steep the tea bags in the water until it has reached a dark caramel color. heat up until the white chocolate melts into the milk. Method: In a saucepan on the stove, or in a microwave-safe mug, heat up white chocolate pieces, milk and vanilla. White Chocolate London Fog – yields 1 drink The Best part is, that all you need is a stove top or a microwave in order to make this. A London Fog is basically a latte made with concentrated brewed tea. When I was in college, I studied in Ireland, I drank tea with milk the entire time I was there. I made this – non alcoholic- London Fog using Bold Breakfast Black™ Tea, but I honestly think that any of these teas would taste delicious with this recipe. There is no better treat we can give each other than a nice warm cup of caffeine. We are often cold and tired this time of year. My husband and I are parents to three boys.
